12th Downeast Living with Cancer Conference

"Integrating Science, Wisdom and Compassion During the Cancer Journey" 

Empowering Maine citizens, especially those who reside within Hancock County, to become partners with their own health care is the focus of this years conference and to offer a day of healing, hope, health, and inspiration to all who attend.

There willl be three special talks, "The Body- Mind- Spirit Connection on the Cancer Journey" & "How Understanding Your Brain Can Empower Your Life" by Dr. Rob Rutledge, MD, FRCPC, Radiation Oncologist, Associate Professor, Chair and CEO The Healing Cancer Foundation. 

Dr. A. Merrill Garrett, MD, Board Certified Oncologist at EMMC Cancer Care, will discuss recent advances in cancer treatment and the wisdom to use them appropriately for treatment of cancer.

There will also be a Patient Panel, Caregiver Panel, Complementary Therapies and a complemetary lunch. Vendors offering Community Resources will be on hand as well.

The 12th Annual Downeast Living with Cancer Conference will be held at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Conference Center in Bar Harbor on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 9 am to 3:30 pm, with registration beginning at 8:00 am. Free transportation is available, please call ahead to arrange transportation.
