Grab your favorite holiday costume and join the race

The annual 2018 Santa 5K Run/Walk which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 2, 2018.  The event is a fun filled, annual kick-off to the holiday season where participants are encouraged to embrace the season and dress up in their choice of a winter or holiday costume and join in the 5K Run/Walk Race.

The race is free to the public, but organizers,  Robin Clark and Sandra Finley will gladly accept donations. Race participants can also collect pledges, but it is not a requirement for the race. Awards will be given for the best male and female overall costume. There will also be a prize for the person who collects the most pledges and all proceeds will be donated to the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center in Ellsworth. Door prizes will also be given.

The Santa Run will take place at the Ellsworth Elementary Middle School and pre-registration will take place from 8:00 am until 9:45 am with the race beginning at 10:00 am. After the race participants will enjoy hot cocoa and sugar cookies.
