Cooking with Cas - The Colorful Plate

Chef Cas Dowden will bring a rainbow of color into the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center kitchen on Weds., March 18, 2020, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Cas will lead guests in preparing colorful recipes that are nutritious and pleasing to the eye.

Many health and wellness resources recommend adding color to every meal to be sure that people are consuming enough fruits and vegetables. The American Cancer Society recommends consuming 2 1/2 cups of a variety of fruits and vegetables every day to maintain a healthy diet. Preparing meals to create a colorful plate is a way to ensure that you are getting the different nutritional benefits of each color group.  Take home copies of the recipes used that day.
