Join Dr. Rob Rutledge, radiation oncologist and associate professor at Dalhousie University Cancer Center, and Dr. Timothy Walker, Psychotherapist and mindfullness teacher from the Healing and Cancer Foundation in a weekend Cancer Retreat Workshop. This will be an opportunity for anyone who has been given a cancer diagnosis of any type or stage, their caregivers and loved ones to learn mind-body-spirit techniques for living a robust life throughout cancer treatment and beyond.  Drs. Rutledge and Walker are the authors of "The Healing Circle"and the founders of the Healng and Cancer Foundation. Their goal is to empower people affected by cancer with a practical and integrated healing approach which combines the best care from the medical system with scientific and wisdom-based healing techniques.  Through experiential exercises and both small and large group instruction, the participants typically begin to recognize their inherent wisdom and strength.  Participants will be led through mindfulness-based stress reduction, meditation, Qigong, and Yoga. This program has been described as "life-changing"and "spiritually moving".
